On the 12th of June 2005, an American band named Green Day leaves the stage after a mind blowing performance (Backstage material from the gig can even be found on the new Green Day CD/DVD "Bullet In a Bible"), leaving behind a frenetical and enthralled audience.
Last year's NOVAROCK at the Pannonia Fields, Nickelsdorf, featured the best and loudest rockbands, among them System of a Down and as mentioned above, Green Day.
From the beginning, the NOVAROCK festival has established itself as one of the best attended festivals in Europe and found a way to the heart of all rockfans.
We are very proud to announce that the arrangements for this year's festival are well under the way. With mega artists like METALLICA, the legendary GUNS'N'ROSES (according to Slash, the new material will seamlessly fall in line with the success of the old hits), PLACEBO, TOOL, MASSIVE ATTACK, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, SPORTFREUNDE STILLER with their only festival appearance 2006, LIVE and MOTÖRHEAD, who celebrate their 30th band anniversary, as well as the new generation of Austrian rock music, JULIA, this year's festival will surely make history!

NEW: SECOND STAGE AT THE PANNONIA FIELDS II
First of all the, most interesting improvement: to offer an even more interesting line-up,a second stage will be erected. All three days will be thematically coordinated so that the acts on the two stages won't particularly collide.

NEW: BARBECUE GRILL SITE
We have important news for all fans of self-made barbecues: Thanks to the new site and its adaptation, it is now possible to grill one's own food. For all the other people, who can't be bothered to drag along raw meat, different varieties of grilled meat will be available for your culinary pleasures!

NEW: SHUTTLE BUSES TO NEAR BATHING LAKES
To enjoy all the benefits of a fun festival weekend and the certainly great weather, there will be shuttle buses available for a fee, which will transport all interested festival visitors to near bathing lakes. This guarantees a relaxed atmosphere even before the first bands enter the stages.

An unbelievable line-up! After KORN had to cancel their appearance at the NOVA ROCK festival because of colliding tour dates, we pulled out all the stops to still get them to Austria! On the 28th of June, the band behind singer Jonathan Davies, will rock the Stadthalle, Vienna. But that's not all. Beside KORN, Brazilian-metal meets guitar-percussion legend SOULFLY will also make an appearance in Vienna. But behold, we are also able to give you the famous DEFTONES. Watch out for the special NOVA ROCK ENCORE ticket, that gets you to this amazing event at a cut-rat!
